| By: Trey Anastasio Discography: Appears on The White Tape Times Played: 148 Vocals: Trey | One of Phish's oldest signature jams, dating back to their first shows. It shares the honor of being played at the first circulating Phish show (1984, Nectar's) and the last (2004, Coventry). Over it's twenty-year lifespan, it has seen some evolution; Page's piano contribution, which has become an omnipresent staple of the song, was originally not there at all. Early performances featured no keyboards, instead using two guitars. The White Tape version only has minimal synth contributions. |
